YouTube Geek Week
This month YouTube hosted its first-ever Geek Week, a celebration of ‘all things geek’. As well as featuring daily videos of things like an Etch-a-Sketch recap of hit TV series Breaking Bad and a slow motion water balloon fight, the site presented a showcase of ‘geekery from around the world’ and carried out science experiments.
Grand Visual worked with Adam & Eve DDB to produce a nationwide multi-network Digital Out of Home campaign promoting YouTube’s Geek Week line-up. Daily updates from Brainiac Tuesday, Gaming Thursday to Best of Saturday featured the YouTube Channels to watch that day and invited people to “Tune in. Geek out.” The bus shelter creative also featured a call to action to “tap your phone to watch now” for NFC enabled smartphone users to access free content from YouTube there and then.
