IBM and Wimbledon Launch Real-Time Match Analysis Campaign
Today IBM has launched a nationwide digital out of home campaign targeting business professionals and tennis fans with real-time match scores, video footage and match play analysis live from the Wimbledon Championships. In a media first, the campaign includes a series of dynamic video clips featuring crowd scenes and match statistics streamed direct from the tournament to screens in offices and train stations across the UK.
Created by Ogilvy and delivered by Grand Visual’s OpenLoop platform, the execution mimics the colours and style of a Wimbledon Scoreboard and promotes the IBM SlamTracker site wimbledon.com/ibm for online coverage and analysis “Using business analytics to reveal the keys to winning”. The video clips captures the excitement of the game delivering live crowd scenes with spectators waving banners and championing player’s with statistical insights provided by IBM.
The digital outdoor activity was planned and bought by Mindshare and Kinetic and runs throughout the tournament on the Executive Channel network located in offices across London, alongside JCDecaux’s Transvision screens at busy train stations. IBM’s continued partnership with Wimbledon has also seen it launch a vibrant new digital presence this year on the all new Championships’ Website, www.wimbledon.com.
