Specialist content agency Grand Visual has joined forces with digital advertising distribution network Beam TV to create and deliver digital content to Lions TV Network.

Grand Visual has produced a promotional show reel for the Cannes Lions Advertising Festival distributed to screens around the Palais by Beam TV, official partner of the Festival. The show reel is airing on both the Lions TV Network and on Beam TV’s own network of screens situated at the entrance to and inside the Palais and on their stand located at 23.01.

The 60 second brand spot for Cannes Lions Advertising Festival provides welcome messages to the visitors announcing its 53rd birthday and features edited sequences from previous winners in a montage style ‘Hall of Fame’. The opening sequence consists of a patchwork of iconic brands with Cannes Lions branding overlaid. The full show reel plays every 8 minutes with a shortened version running every 4 minutes.

The partnership showcases Grand Visual’s expertise in creating content for the out-of-home digital media market and it demonstrates the steps involved in transforming print and broadcast campaigns into out-of-home appropriate digital media content. These key players in the production and delivery of digital content are clearly demonstrating the ‘content process ‘of the broader digital media network market, and aim to raise the profile of this effective direct marketing medium.
Neil Morris, managing director of Grand Visual, says: “It’s a given that screen media can play an important role in the communication spectrum for retail and brand advertising. We aim to show visitors how effective cut through narrowcast content is at attracting attention and communicating messages to customers in a busy environment -the Palais des Festivals is ideal for this.
By showcasing content appropriate to the out-of-home environment, and how it can be managed and simply distributed using Beam TV, we aim to educate brands, media planners and retailers to enable them to tap into this and reach their target audience more creatively.

Juan Lobato, Managing Director of Beam TV commented, The Palais is visually busy and therefore a challenging space to attract attention and engage viewers. We are extremely pleased with the energetic, eye-catching sequences that Grand Visual has delivered. The partnership has effectively highlighted the ubiquity of our service -delivering advertising content across platforms and continents.

Grand Visual has also created an editorial sting showcasing a sequence of clips from BBC Motion Gallery’s online footage library. Paul Maidment, Business Development; Marketing Director commented: ‘Ad agencies are increasingly looking to embrace the vast archives of the BBC. We also represent a number of other archives including national broadcasters and other more niche content owners. We are delighted that Grand Visual has assisted BBC Motion Gallery in getting across its message.’
