Foxcatcher, the new feature film from Capote and Moneyball director Bennet Miller, opened in the UK last week. Starring Steve Carell, Channing Tatum, and Mark Ruffalo the drama focuses on the true story of Olympic Gold Medal-winning wrestler Mark Schultz, his older brother Dave, and their troubled relationship with their patron John du Pont, heir to the Du Pont family fortune.
A national DOOH campaign was launched to support the E1 release of the critically praised film. Grand Visual produced creative appeared at numerous prominent DOOH sites around the UK, including Trinity Leeds, Birmingham Bullring North, Manchester One, Glasgow St Enoch, and Axis @ Hacienda, Manchester. The creative featured the three male stars of the movie, film release information, punctuated with an animated cracked glass effect.
Foxcatcher is already proving to be an awards contender, having received multiple nominations for BAFTA, Golden Globe, and Academy Awards. The film was also nominated for the Palme d’Or and director Bennet Miller won the Camera d’Or at last year’s Cannes Festival.
