Shadowhunters: Revealing The Shadow World

Ahead of the new fantasy TV series Shadowhunters, Freeform transformed a bus shelter in Boston into an augmented reality experience that changed the way we see city streets.

The interactive spectacle took place at JCDecaux’s bus shelter in Boston, Massachusetts. The digital screen showed a live camera feed of the street ahead, giving the illusion of a see-through display. However, as people watched, a portal emerged over the street ahead and a number of incredible scenarios unfolded as passersby caught glimpses of “The Downworld” an alternate world of demons, werewolves and vampires that “mundanes” cannot see.
